SHAWNEE, Kan. — Businessman and Independent U.S. Senate candidate Greg Orman released a new ad today that illustrates both parties are to blame for Washington’s broken system that is failing Kansas.
In the ad, titled “Half Right,” Orman takes on Senator Roberts' claims that Obama and Harry Reid are to blame for nothing getting done in Washington. Roberts is only “half right,” Orman says in the ad.
“The truth is, both parties are more interested in political games than problem solving… and both parties are failing Kansas,” Orman continues. “That’s why I’m running for the Senate as an Independent.”
After 47 years in Washington, Roberts is part of Washington’s broken system, and his partisan attacks are exactly the reason nothing ever gets done.
“Everything Senator Roberts has done this campaign has reinforced that he is another out of touch politician who is part of Washington’s broken system,” Orman’s campaign manager Jim Jonas said. “Senator Roberts’ campaign has desperately tried to distract from the fact that Washington is broken and Senator Roberts is part of the problem with his endless false and misleading attacks.”
By contrast, Greg Orman is a proven, successful businessman who has created jobs for Kansas and has a plan to hold Washington accountable.
TRANSCRIPT: “If you listen to Pat Roberts and his Washington buddies, they’ll tell you that President Obama and Harry Reid are the reason Washington is such a mess. And you know what? They’re half right. But the other half of the mess? Mitch McConnell and Pat Roberts. The truth is, both parties are more interested in political games than problem solving... and both parties are failing Kansas. That’s why I’m running for the Senate as an Independent. I’m Greg Orman, and I approve this message because I won’t answer to either party. I’ll answer only to you.”
