SHAWNEE, Kan. — Olathe businessman and entrepreneur Greg Orman, the Independent candidate running for U.S. Senate, will travel to Salina on Tuesday for a series of meetings and events, including participation in the Tri-Rivers Fair Parade and a visit to The Land Institute.
Mr. Orman will meet with news media at afternoon stops at KSAL radio and the Salina Journal followed by a visit to The Land Institute, a nonprofit research organization committed to sustainable food production. Orman will meet with Josh Svaty, a former state House member and Kansas agriculture secretary, who serves as the Institute’s vice president.
Mr. Orman will also participate in the Tri-Rivers Fair Parade, which begins at 7:30 p.m. on Santa Fe Avenue in downtown Salina.
