On Tuesday, independent U.S. Senate candidate Greg Orman plans to submit petitions containing more than 10,000 signatures, as he moves closer to getting on the November ballot in Kansas.
Orman is an Olathe businessman who wants to run as an independent. That required him to collect 5,000 signatures from eligible voters and to present the petitions to the Kansas Secretary of State's office by Aug. 4. His campaign said Orman collected signatures from voters living in all 105 Kansas counties.
“Kansans are sick and tired of partisanship. They’re sick and tired of elected officials who are only interested in getting re-elected and not interested in solving problems,” Orman said in a news release.
